Have A NAAFI Tea Break On A Day Out

What’s the fascination with NAAFI Tea?

Such a high proportion of visitors to this blog have been looking for information about the NAAFI Tea Break that I thought I’d have a bit of a hunt around to find out a bit more information about NAAFI Tea.

And I have to say, I’ve not found a lot.  I’m not sure I fully understand what the fascination is and I wonder about the age range of those visitors.  Is it nostalgia which is bringing in the visitors or a genuine love of the tea.  Judging from some of the less than flattering comments about NAAFI tea, I doubt it.  Also only a few of the articles out on the internet seem to be going on about the charitable aspect of buying NAAFI Tea – a proportion of the sale goes to help our heroes.

Nevertheless, whatever sparks the interest, the people are coming and I thought you might be interested in this website I found out and about on my travels.

Not a pretty  URL I grant you (and they could possibly do with a bit of help with that side of things) but the place itself might be worth a visit and looks like you get a cup of real NAAFI tea whilst you soak up the atmosphere of a WW2 NAAFI.

If you want to experience the NAAFI Tea in the comfort of your own home, then head over to your local Spar, who are the main stockists of NAAFI Tea.

Mmm I wonder if that will make the NAAFI tea taste better?

  1. Neil Bradbury says:

Is it the taste of the tea? The memories of what was going on in your life whilst you were drinking the tea? Or the cheese on toast that went so well with the tea?
You can buy NAAFI tea bags now, can’t you?
Set up a NAAFI tea break for people at work so that they can savour that moment, but don’t do the cheese on toast!!
